It is fine as long as you dont lean forward in the air. I feel like when i sprint into a jump i can do it faster while leaning forward, just make sure you lean back with plenty of time before the jump. you dont want to change your weight in the air, and you dont want to lean forward in the air. on bigger jumps it wont be fun to be leaning forward, as i have found out a few times.

not really, your just not going to get as much traction since your rear tire doesn’t have as much weight as it would if your leaning back. if your hitting dirtjumps like that though then its bad, because your probably going to nose dive every time. for a jump you need to keep yourself relatively back for the jump, then while in the air (supposing your not doing a trick) pull the bike up into you like your trying to be a ball with it. then push it outwards and forwards fast so that it is in perfect spot for landing.

I do the same thing when I ride[mtb]
What is most important is that you lean back when,or before, breaking or going down steep inclines so you can keep your rear wheel on the ground.
If you not going over the handlebars when braking alot then your probably doing fine.
Just an opinion
