Shimano XTR PD-M970 Clipless Pedal
This XTR PD-M970 clipless pedal is a dual entry pedal, meaning it has a cleat system on both sides, making it much easier to get locked into the pedal so yyu can take off. It's as simple as hopping on and clicking your Shimano mountain bike shoes into the Fluorine coated binding claws and taking off. No muss, no fuss.
These pedals are also equipped with the retention adjustment to accommodate any riders’ style of pedaling so that it is the most comfortable for that particular rider. They can easily be adjusted to make clipping out easier or to really lock you in if you are a power monster.
The PD-M970 pedal has a painted aluminum body to both prevent rust and to keep the pedal in good working condition for many rides to come. It also features a chrome-moly spindle material with a thread of BC 9/16” x 20 T.P.I. The hollow body pedal is also great for shedding mud to prevent build up during any ride through any condition.
The Shimano XTR PD-M970 clipless pedal is compatible with the SM-SH51 cleats or the SM-SH56 cleats as well, to ensure proper fit and efficiency of riding capabilities. Other types of cleats will fit the XTR PD-970 clipless pedal but these two Shimano mountain bike riding shoes are the recommended cleats for riding with this model of riding pedal.
